Birthday mornings, before the heat
May through September, the parties that still feel like parties start early. Shade if the lot has it. A toddler splash if the kids are little and the gate is honest. A dual-lane race if the cousins are old enough to keep score. The attendant is a parent at the entrance, not a favor you assign to the person also cutting cake.
School field days
Field days want stations and a schedule, not one line that lasts until the bell. A slip or a combo covers more kids than a single tall lane if you rotate groups by size. Confirm the school’s water spigot and power before you print the rotation. If the outlet is a rumor, ask us about the solar generator when you call.
Church festivals that still want water in September
September in Austin can still justify a wet unit. Fall festivals book the dunk tank next to a slide more often than a July birthday does. See the dunk tank if someone on staff has agreed to sit. The slide rules do not relax because the event is a fundraiser.
Block parties
A block party has a street full of opinions and one yard that has to be flat. The long slip-and-slides fit a side yard better than a hyper fits a cul-de-sac. Tell us which house has the hose and which driveway the trailer can use. Neighbors texting you is not a setup plan.
Company picnics
Adults will use a Water Wars battle unit and then pretend they will not. Pair it with a slide if the grass can take both, and put the 26-inch misting fan where the people who are not sliding are standing. Book the morning. A 2 p.m. picnic in July is a heat decision you already lost.
