Before the blower stays on
Safety, wind, water, attendants.
Practical rules from the crew that sets the unit up. Not a scare page, and not a fake certification. The waiver you sign lives on the Austin Bounce House Rentals booking flow.
One adult, at the entrance, the whole time.
Someone has to stand at the entrance for the entire time the unit is in use. Not on the porch. Not “nearby” with a drink. At the entrance, watching who goes in. That person is the host’s job. We walk you through the blower, the hose, and the rules, then we leave the splash zone. If the party cannot spare that adult, do not book the slide.
Little kids do not share a lane with big kids.
Split turns by size. A dual lane is a race, not a mixed-age pile. When the cousins range from preschool to middle school, they take the lane in groups that match. Capacity is printed on each Austin Bounce House Rentals product page. We do not invent one headcount and stamp it on every unit. See the Lil Kahuna if the guest list is actually small. See Double Crush if you are running a real race with older kids.
What stays off the vinyl.
Shoes, glasses, jewelry, and anything sharp come off before the climb. No flips. No climbing the outside of the unit to skip the line. No running back up the sliding surface. The outside is not a ladder. The lane is one direction.
Wind, rain, and lightning.
Sustained wind around 15 mph is the stop line. The unit comes down. Light rain on a warm day is usually a comfort call, not an automatic cancel. A lightning strike in the area, or a storm cell sitting on the yard, and the unit comes down. Leave the stakes in until we arrive unless we have told you otherwise because of wind. If the morning looks borderline, call (512) 765-6071 instead of guessing from an app icon.
What the yard has to give us.
Setup needs flat ground, overhead clearance, a garden hose that reaches the spot, and a standard outdoor outlet within about 100 feet. We bring the cord. We stake or weight the frame. Commercial-grade vinyl, cleaned before it goes out, inspected again when we are standing on it. Grass is the surface we want. Concrete is possible with the right protection under the unit, and that is a conversation before delivery. The yard fit guide is the longer version of this paragraph.
Parks with no outlet.
If the park has a spigot and no power, ask about the solar generator when you call. Confirm water and power with the park office before you announce the time. Wells Branch, Round Rock, and Pflugerville parks are the ones where this question comes up most. We will not guess from a pavilion photo.
Pools on a combo.
A pool on a combo can be water, balls (extra charge, arranged on the parent site), or dry. Shallow landing water only. No diving. That includes Fire'n Ice, Tropical Wave Combo, and Surf The Wave. The landing pool is not Barton Springs and it is not a babysitter.
See how delivery morning actually runs, or check a date once the yard and the attendant are real.
